FACEPAINTING INFORMATION

What are the names of the face paints that are used? We only ever use professional paints manufactured by internationally recognised brands such as Snazaroo, Grimas, TAG, Diamond FX, Mehron and Global. All are described as non-toxic unperfumed, gluten-free water-based make-up without chemical preservatives (such as parabens) or halogenated organic compounds.

How do I remove facepaints from skin?  Water make-up (facepaints) are always best and most easily removed with mild soap and water. Do not use thick cleansing cream as this usually contains waxes and oils which actually adhere the paint residue to the skin and cheap wet wipes are not recommended as they can be irritating to young  to skin. If a trace of colour is left on the skin after washing with soap and water DO NOT RUB OR SCRUB THE SKIN simply apply either oild free eye make up remover, baby oil or very light moisurising lotion and wait 30 mins before wiping off

How do I remove facepaints from fabric? Wash off any excess under a cold tap first and then soak in lukewarm water with a pre-wash detergent or ordinary soap. DO NOT USE WARM OR HOT WATER AS THIS MAY SET THE STAIN.

Are facepaints safe for sensitive skin? All the paints that we use are deemed as being hypoallergenic by the manufacturers and we have not know them to cause any adverse reaction. A child may sometimes however feel a tightening or slight itching of the skin after the paint has been applied. This is normally due to what we call 'the face pack' effect and it is simply caused by the paints drying and contracting very slightly taking the skin with it. If you have any concerns about your child's skin reacting with facepaint due to a known allergen or previous experience, please contact us.

Do you have a full list of ingredients? Yes. We hold these for each manufacturer and are available upon request. Please contact us.
